Our BOSAR Community & Consumer Outreach Committee is sponsoring a homeless organization that helps the homeless in Jackson County. These homeless folks are trying to get back on their feet!

The organization is The Living Well Ministry. The Ministry provides an exceptional service helping the homeless to include: teaching computer skills, helping obtain driver’s licenses and birth certificates, and also provides counseling. When winter hits and the shelters are open in Biloxi, The Living Well Ministry provides transportation for the homeless to and from the shelters.

The Living Well Ministry is in need of various items, mainly new or good used clothing.

  • shoes
  • jackets
  • other clothing
  • bicycle tire tubes
  • water in the summertime
  • personal hygiene items

These are the main items. Most of the homeless are men, but there are a few women. Donations are the Ministry’s main means of support.

In sponsoring the Ministry’s efforts, our Committee is asking that you help us collect items listed above. To help to sort, men’s and women’s items should be separated in separate bags, boxes, etc.

The project will run thru Friday, October 12th.
